We finally started working on the shed.

This is it’s “before” state… not even brown!
And here is my little shed sketch of what I hoped it would look like someday.
And here it is today. In the process of being transformed.
Do you notice something different between my sketch and the shed now?
They made the doors with one large “X”, rather than two side by side.
The contractor (and our friend) said they will redo it. But I am wondering how I like it? I have always thought the two “X”s would make it look more pleasing to the eye. The set of doors on the left will still operate, but they will blend in, and not look like doors…so my thought was that the two “X”s would create more for the eye to look at, and thus not make the doors on the left as noticeable. Am I over-thinking this whole thing?
Tell me your opinion. I would love to hear it! I have until Monday morning…that’s when the workers show up!
I like the doors in your drawing. More appealing to the eye. What a transformation with the wood siding you used. Love it!
I really do like the finished doors. If you’re looking to draw the eye…they definitely do. They actually have a single focal point as opposed to the original lovely drawing.
Now, having said all that. It really doesn’t matter what I think or like. They are your doors and you need to be happy with them.
And one more thought. Sometimes serendipity is a good thing and later we’re blessed because of it.
By the way, I love the way you’ve hidden the other doors. What a lovely shed!

I agree! I like the ones you drew up better! I love me some british flags, but the new doors remind me of them. It’s looking so GREAT! I can’t wait to see the finished result!
ALSO, i’m LOVING your set-up at Hermann’s! I was just in there yesterday. I’m eying a few things and trying to make up my mind. You have amazing style and taste. There wasn’t a thing I didn’t LOVE!

I love it! And I didn’t even notice the doors to the left until you mentioned it. The 2 Xs would look great too though. Can’t wait to see more!
