the shed before and after…almost

There are still a few finishing touches before the shed is really finished.  I wanted to wait for a bona fide “after” photo, but I have a good reason for sharing early… more on that in a minute.

So this is how my pitiful little shed started out.

If you are not familiar with the shed, you can read here, here and here.

Not even brown!

And here was my idea of what it could be.

Construction started, and things got a little off track…

I like what my friend Lynsey had to say about the door dilemma.

I agree! I like the ones you drew up better! I love me some british flags, but the new doors remind me of them. It’s looking so GREAT! I can’t wait to see the finished result!

So, after much thought about the door situation, and even more deliberation over paint colors…

I finally made some decisions.

Then…

Wha-la!

 …..

{Not quite finished, remember?}

What do you think of it so far?

I wish I had some mad computer skills, and I would put the photos side by side.  I don’t even edit my photos.  They are all straight out of the camera.  I’m amazed I can put a watermark on them.  (My photographer friend taught me that.)  I’m getting off track… back to the shed.

I am wondering if the urns need to go?  Maybe a pink climbing rose up the right side then arching over the doors?

One thing this shed definitely needs is a new light!  A Barnlight!

Which brings me to why I am posting this earlier than I had planned.

Barnlight Electric is having a fabulous give-away.  I read about it last week on Urban Farmgirl.  Funny enough, I had just been browsing Barlight’s website.  I pinned several lights to my Pinterest “wish” board that I thought might look good on my shed.

First, this one.

I love enamel.

Then this one.

I think it looks a little more like the light in my original sketch.

But I think I would like it in a galvanized finish.

Hmmm?  Which would look best on the new shed?

.

Barnlight has many fabulous lights to choose from.  I’ve been browsing their selection of sconces, too.  I could use a pair.  Barnlight Electric has so much more than outdoor lighting, they have some lovely lights for the inside of your home.

This would look great in my kitchen.

So how would you like to have a slice of this Barnlight pie?
